Celebrity Co-Hosts Join BrandStar Entertainment's The Balancing Act On Lifetime TV
Celebrity Chefs Gale Gand and Sara Moulton Cook Up Some Early Morning News and Entertainment in the New Year
Online, January 19, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Celebrity chefs Gale Gand and Sara Moulton are joining The Balancing Act, Lifetime Television's morning newsmagazine show. Gand and Moulton both have a long line of TV and print credits, with The Balancing Act on Lifetime being just the latest in a string of successes.
Gand is most recently known for her starring turn on Sweet Dreams, a Food Network show that focuses on delicious dessert recipes. But The Balancing Act Lifetime's cooking fans may know Gand for her cookbooks, which include her latest, Gale Gand's Brunch and her Gale's Root Beer, which blends cinnamon, ginger, and vanilla with traditional root beer flavors.
Gand also serves as executive pastry chef at her Chicago restaurant, Tru, where she was awarded the honor of Outstanding Pastry Chef by The James Beard Foundation and Pastry Chef of the Year by Bon Appetit magazine. In addition to her Food Network show, Gand's TV credits also include appearances on Oprah, Iron Chef America, The Today Show and Martha Stewart. The Balancing Act on Lifetime TV will be the latest in a long career of exciting TV appearances for the celebrity chef.
Morning television is not new for Sara Moulton, who currently serves as Good Morning America's food editor. Food Network viewers will likely recognize Moulton as the long-running star of three separate shows on the network over a nine-year period. Until 2009, Moulton also served as the executive chef at Gourmet magazine and since 2008, Moulton has hosted the PBS series Sara's Weeknight Meals.
Moulton looks forward to bringing her tips for cooking balanced meals while juggling busy schedules to The Balancing Act on Lifetime. Using tips from her cookbooks and her own life, Moulton will be taking to the kitchen to help women create strategies for fitting food preparation and planning in between busy work and family schedules.
Produced by BrandStar Entertainment, The Balancing Act airs on Lifetime Television Mondays through Fridays at 7 a.m. Eastern Time. The Balancing Act, Lifetime Television's first hour-long morning show, is the only show of its kind in that it is produced by women, about women, for women. Focusing on content that inspires and empowers its viewers, The Balancing Act on Lifetime is excited to bring this new cooking element to its already successful lineup.
"Our hope is that The Balancing Act Lifetime viewers will take the cooking information that they hear in the mornings and apply it to their evenings, especially when preparing a meal for themselves or their families," The Balancing Act Lifetime executive vice president of programming Doug Campbell states. "Our objective is for the show to add balance to a woman's everyday life."
By adding these popular celebrity chefs as co-hosts, The Balancing Act on Lifetime will be adding to its lineup of quality women's information.
