Celum Opens Research And Development Center In Linz
On May 16th, the Austrian software developer celum will officially open its new Digital Asset Management Research and Development Center, ARK 1.
Online, April 18, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Since 1999, the Digital Asset Management (DAM) specialist celum has been active on the international scene, and during this time has become Europe's largest distributor of DAM software. In the past few years, international analysts, as well as the competition, have recognized the continued success of the company. In this fashion, celum has grown from just 32 employees in 2010 to over 70 in 2011.
The new R&D Center, ARK 1 is located in the Linzer green belt. The architecture firm Schauer designed an ultra-low energy building with space for up to 90 employees. celum CEO Michael J. Kräftner: "With around 1,500m², the entire research and development departments will finally be brought together. As the headquarters of an international company, ARK 1's spectacular architecture creates the perfect space for the free flow of new ideas and the creation of innovative products." ARK 1 is the first building in a planned campus that will eventually span 1.3ha!
The grand opening of the new building will kick off the start of celum's annual event, the celum SUMMIT. Friends, customers, and celum partners are expected to attend, as well as government officials from Upper Austria and Salzburg, Linz city council members, and representatives from the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, the Austrian Business Asscociation, voestalpine, D. Swarovski, Richemont, and BSH Bosch Siemens. Speaking at the opening will be Linz city councilwoman Susanne Wegscheider, state representative Viktor Sigl, Member of the Upper Austrian parliament, Bernhard Baier and on behalf of ARK 1 architects, Franz Schauer.
Following the grand opening is the start of celum's annual event, the celum SUMMIT, on May 17th, with partner training sessions taking place form the 18th-20th.
The celum SUMMIT is celum's annual „Signature Event". Customers, partners, and interested parties from around the world will come together to exchange ideas and discuss current developments and trends in managing brands and digital assets. SUMMIT participants will not only be able to see firsthand how leading firms from around the world are using celum technologies, but participants will also have the opportunity to network and share information on industry best practices.
