Central London NHS Trust awards Language Connect major F2F interpreting and translation contract
24th May 2010, London, UK: Language Connect today announced it has been awarded a 3-year contract by Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust as the sole provider of face-to-face interpreting and written translation services.
Online, May 24, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The contract award comes after the completion of a rigorous public tender process, spanning several months that saw Language Connect emerge as the preferred supplier ahead of several larger competitors. Ben Taylor, Managing Partner, says of the new contract: "Our new contract with Guy's and St Thomas' Trust consolidates Language Connect's position as the leading public sector interpreting provider in South-East London. Alongside existing NHS work, we will now be covering over 7,000 assignments annually in this part of London alone."
A major contributing factor to the successful outcome of this tender will be Language Connect's proprietary contract management system - Linguist Connect - which affords customers a 24-hour online booking portal. Linguist Connect provides public sector language support services teams with real-time booking, versatile booking views and ad-hoc management information and reporting functionality.
