"Reading Jay's blog, it's just not the same old drivel that you get everywhere else that has been repositioned. It really is really unique, out there. "Every time someone sends to me Twitter strategy in the same sentence, I want to smack them in the face, because Twitter is, by definition, not strategic. Right? It is a social media
telephone. You don't need a Twitter strategy. You need a business strategy and a social media strategy that supports that business strategy. Part of that program is what are we going to
do, at least, for the next 30 days on Twitter? But people are way too excited about the tools and not nearly excited enough about the relationship part between a company and its customers.," said Baer.
