Recently, CEO SUITE, together with its business partners has gathered contributions in response to the catastrophic typhoon Haiyan that struck the Philippines.
The contributions will be used for rebuilding and rehabilitation efforts in the areas badly hit by typhoon Haiyan. It will sponsor shelter repair assistance for the affected families in the province of Leyte.
A turnover ceremony was held last January 27, 2014 at the Habitat for Humanity Philippines Foundation, Inc. head office. CEO SUITE was represented by Jhen Maniago-Miranda, Senior Human Resource Manager and Fritzie Beltran, Operations Manager of CEO SUITE Philippine Branch.
On top of this advocacy, CEO SUITE has donated a generous amount to the Children's Joy Foundation and ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya Foundation, which helped in extending immediate relief to affected families. Some of the affected children visited CEO SUITE Philippine Branch at the 37th Floor LKG Tower, Ayala Avenue, Makati City and sung Christmas Carols.
Typhoon Haiyan, known as Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, was an extremely strongest tropical storm that distressed portions of Southeast Asia, mainly the Philippines, in November 8, 2013. It is the deadliest Philippine typhoon on record, killing at least 6,201 people in that country alone. Haiyan is also the most powerful storm recorded at landfall, and off the record the toughest typhoon ever recorded in terms of wind speed. As of January, 2014, bodies are still being found.
