Chae, Former WCW Nitro Girl & NFL Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader, Announced as Judge for Dancing Competition at River City Sports Festival in Mason City, Iowa
Online, April 2, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Ernest "The Cat" Miller, former WCW Superstar and commissioner of the inaugural River City Sports Festival [RCSF], today announced that Chae, former WCW Nitro Girl and NLF Atlanta Falcons cheerleader, will serve as a judge for the individual and team dance tournaments at the amateur multi-sport competition being held May 9-11, 2014, in Mason City, Iowa. Both individual and team dance competition registration and more tournament information are available at www.rcsportsfestival.com.
"With Chae, we believe she will easily ignite the competitors to fiercely perform their routines thanks to her ever-present elegance and savvy dance expertise," Miller said. "We are absolutely thrilled to have her as a part of the judging panel. She brings a professional perspective and an opportunity for all participants to walk away with a deeper sense of what competing at this level is all about."
The 2014 Dance Competition at RCSF is hosted at North Iowa Area Community College [NIACC]. The team competitions—held May 9—will feature two divisions: High School/All Star and Dance School. All teams can compete in the categories of pom, jazz, hip hop and specials. The solo competition—held May 10—is divided into age groups in at least two categories. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded in each division, and Grand Champions for both solo and team competitions will win a special winner's package.
The registration deadline for all dance competitions is May 3, 2014. Visit www.rcsportsfestival.com for more information and to register.
The three-day RCSF event will also feature archery, basketball, karate, power lifting, roller derby, softball and wrestling for both individual and team competitors.
Miller and Ronin' Productions, presenter of the amateur multi-sport competition, in partnership with the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the North Iowa Sports Authority, recently kicked-off a campaign to offer free tickets for entrance to the event's headlining spectacle, the "Rumble in River City," a professional wrestling show set for May 10 at NIACC. Free tickets are now available for the first 1,000 competitors registering in advance for RCSF. Registration for RCSF is now open. For more information, visit www.rcsportsfestival.com.
