Chandigarh To Embrace New Industrial Policy
kolkata, June 18, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Mrs Kirron Kher, Lok Sabha MP of Indian union territory Chandigarh recently declared that a new industrial policy will be implemented in the city of Chandigarh. The policy will invite nonpolluting industries which supports green environment to set up shop in the beautiful city of Chandigarh.
"Industrial policy (for Chandigarh) will be coming within a week. The process of finalization is going on," said the actor- turned- politician.
The policy will be emphasizing on green and non- polluting industries such as information technology, business outsourcing, BPO & KPO, etc. Which causes less harm to our environment, she said boasting about Chandigarh being the least polluted city in India.
After announcing the news of implementing industrial policy many industries has shown interest in the region as they were asking for permission to set up industries from before. Kirron Kher said, “The policy, which is in the last stage of finalization, would put huge impetus on green and nonpolluting industries, including IT (information technology) and ITeS (IT-enabled service), BPOs and KPOs (business and knowledge process outsourcing), skilling, light engineering, electronics, design, tourism and clean energy.” Hence Chandigarh will be soon turned into a digital city with the emergence of green industries and technology. "There will be focus on providing ample job opportunities for youth in the policy," she added.
Union minister of state for finance Jayant Sinha claimed “Our major achievement has been the restoring of macro-economic fiscal stability and reviving the investor confidence in India,”
India is one of the biggest outsourcing companies in the world, and a good percentage of the country’s economy depends upon the amount of business sourcing that the existing companies does. Setting up business outsourcing industries will eventually help the economy to boost further. Many of the industrialist has been waiting eagerly for such a policy to be amended demanding to set up units other than just manufacturing.
