Chapel Hill Estate Planning Attorney Invited as Speaker for National Business Institute

Chapel Hill estate planning attorney Gregory Herman-Giddens will present 'How to Draft IRA Trusts' in a live national teleconference through the National Business Institute's continuing education program.

Mr. Herman-Giddens will deliver a comprehensive overview of IRA trusts, discuss the differences between revocable and irrevocable trusts, explore income and estate tax issues, and review suggested trust provisions. Designed for attorneys, financial planners, trust officers, and CPAs who are interested in learning more about IRA trusts, the 90-minute teleconference will take place on November 20th at 4PM EST. The class also counts toward continuing legal education in every state and continuing professional education for accountants in select states.

This will be the third time North Carolina estate planning attorney Mr. Herman-Giddens has been part of the faculty of an NBI event. At a previous NBI teleconference he instructed 'Incorporating Education Trusts and 529 Plans in Estate Plans.' As a board-certified specialist in estate planning, a certified financial planner, and President of TrustCounsel, a law firm in Chapel Hill, Mr. Herman-Giddens provides legal expertise in estate planning, probate, trust administration, asset protection and taxation.

IRA trusts must meet strict requirements under IRS regulations. Special tax issues, rules for IRA required minimum distribution, and beneficiary designation forms all affect IRA distribution among heirs. North Carolina estate planning attorney Mr. Herman-Giddens will review drafting techniques to allow heirs to stretch and protect retirement benefits. Professionals who attend the teleconference will learn critical techniques for the preservation of beneficiaries' retirement benefits.

To register for the live teleconference at 4PM EST on Tuesday, November 20, visit the NBI website. If you are unable to attend, audio files will be available after the class.
