Charlisa M. Powell Joins Fochler Veterans Law to Better Serve Veterans

Fochler Veterans Law announces the addition of attorney Charlisa M. Powell to further support Veterans submitting benefits claims and compensation appeals to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Fochler Veterans Law is pleased to announce the addition of attorney Charlisa M. Powell to the firm’s growing staff. Powell will serve in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office and will support Veterans submitting benefits claims and compensation appeals to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Powell comes to Fochler Veterans Law with a law degree from the College of William and Mary and having worked for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. She has operated as Counsel for the Board of Veterans’ Appeals in Washington, D.C. while working at VA, and gained extensive knowledge of VA disability law and how to successfully navigate the VA benefits system. Since leaving the Board in 2013, she entered into private practice where she had the pleasure of working one-on-one with Veterans and representing them before the Department of Veterans Affairs and Social Security Administration.

"I opened Fochler Veterans Law to better support these underserved heroes and believe that welcoming Charlisa to our team will further our efforts to assist Veterans facing the VA benefits claims process. It can be frustrating to bid the VA for compensation and pension benefits, and at Fochler Veterans Law, we can ease that burden and help Veterans receive the benefits they have earned."

Notes Powell, “As the daughter of a disabled Vietnam Veteran and as a VA-accredited representative, I bring experience, knowledge and compassion to every aspect of my job. I am grateful for the privilege and honor of serving Veterans, and I look forward to using my unique skills and experience to help them gain the benefits they deserve.”
