Chicago Artist Sells Painting To Dallas Cowboys CFO Sly Anderson
Renowned Dallas Cowboys CFO Sly Anderson recently purchased 'Cowboy Lips' from acclaimed Chicago artist Gregory Allen Page of ChicagoImpressionism.com
Online, December 14, 2011 (Newswire.com) - To complete the ambiance of his executive office in the new luxurious billion dollar Dallas Cowboys Stadium, CFO Sly Anderson recently purchased a painting titled 'Cowboy Lips' from acclaimed Chicago artist Gregory Allen Page of ChicagoImpressionism.com.
Although Anderson first expressed interest in the painting earlier this year, he and Page were unable to come to an agreement with the piece of art, and so it remained in Page's studio. With the painting permeating on his mind, Anderson couldn't let go of the decor that would complete his furnishings.
"It is an honor to know that my paintings are garnering the attention of top business executives and professionals," says Page. "With the painting being displayed at the executive offices inside the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium, I am honored to think of the vast people who will have a chance to view my work."
What began as a hobby for Page earlier in life quickly transcended into a profitable trade. Page began full-time painting in 2004, and has quickly established an impressive portfolio of over 60 original paintings.
Through his short lived career as a painter to this point, Page has already created an international awareness of his artistic presence as his work has been featured in galleries throughout the world, including Los Angleles, Scottsdale, Maui, Como, Italy and Chicago--where he is based out of.
"For me, becoming an artist has never been about worldwide recognition, fame and fortune," says Page, who discourages the sale of original paintings. "It is about tapping into my artistic presence and taking things I love, bringing them to life on a blank canvas, and sharing them with the world."
Page's paintings have been described as Van Gogh esque, like a Monet with a pulse. Using fine Belgium linen substrates and modern museum quality, eco-friendly oil paint, each one of Page's paintings is a collector's piece.
To truly sum up how he views his work, Page states, "Oil paining is not photography. The soul of the painter is in the freedom of his hand and the brush."
