Chico McRooster to Be at the 2017 Chinese New Year Parade

Paramount, California, January 30, 2017 (Newswire.com) - February 4, 2017 (from 1 to 3pm) in Chinatown is a date you do not want to miss.  The yearly Chinese New Year is celebrated with the Golden Dragon Parade.  Giant colorful, fun, scary and awesome dragons perform on the streets supported with marching bands, dancing ladies and many other festivities.

This event begins The Year of the Rooster.  Chico McRooster is honored to be a part of the festivities on this important day.  Chico is a live four year old Rhode Island Red Rooster, who is very friendly, loves to be petted, connects with many visitors and poses for pictures.  So come on down and enjoy the fun.  Get a family photo with Chico or a selfie.  Check out his Facebook page to see others who have connected with this gentleman rooster.  He will be wearing his Golden Dragon outfit riding in his specially decorated canopy topped cart and be ready for photos with everyone.

How to get to there:  Take the METRO to Union Station.  Transfer to the Gold Line and get off at the Chinatown Station.  The Parade, which goes North on Hill to Bernard then South on Broadway, is only a few blocks away.

About Chico McRooster:  Chico was rescued after laying in the gutter of the alley for five hours.  He was thought to be a tossed out old reddish brown sock, until he was picked up and found to be barely alive with his little song of  “peep-peep-peep, peep-peep-peep, peep-peep-peep.”  He was nursed back to health & now rides around in the car, goes shopping at Home Depot, Lowes, Petco, Petsmart and finds new friends at many events in which he participates.
