The May 19 Luncheon Honors Women Who Are "Bridge Builders" Within the South Florida Community

Jaclyn Stapp, a public speaker and children's book author, was selected as an honoree for this year's inaugural City Year Miami's 'Bridge Builder' Women's Luncheon, being held Thursday, May 19, in Coconut Grove. Jaclyn was selected as an honoree for her accomplishing work as a children's book author and her involvement in numerous charitable organizations. City Year Miami is a non-profit organization that supports the Miami-Dade Public School System in its efforts to help youth succeed in school and realize their potential.

Jaclyn, who will speak at the inaugural women's luncheon for leadership, volunteerism and community involvement, will be amongst honorees including Florida Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll and CBS Channel 4 Anchor Shannon Hori. The luncheon is being held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Woman's Club of Coconut Grove.

"It's such a great achievement to be honored at the 'Bridge Builder' Women's Luncheon," says Jaclyn. "There is no better time than now to instill confidence and encouragement in our future generations by giving them the support and tools they need to succeed, and I remain committed to this great and worthy cause."

Lee Graver, Development Director for City Year Miami, says, "Bridge Builders bring out the best in others by connecting resources and talents to great and worthy causes, especially anticipating the needs of the future generations. We selected to honor Bridge Builders who use the wisdom and experience they have gleaned for the benefit of others, even those whom they may never meet."
