Online, October 21, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. will implement the Digisonics Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS) in support of their cardiac MR research. The Digisonics CVIS was selected to provide Children's National Medical Center with a comprehensive clinical database, high-powered PACS and structured reporting.
Integration of the Digisonics cardiovascular information system with Medis image analysis software provides Children's National with a comprehensive image management, analysis and structured reporting system for pediatric Cardiac MR. A single click launches the Medis QMASS MR advanced image analysis and quantitation software directly from the Digisonics CVIS workstation. Results from the analysis performed in the Medis are saved directly back into the Digisonics cardiovascular information system for a fully integrated seamless workflow.
Children's National Medical Center will also streamline their clinical workflow with HL7 interfaces to their GE Centricity EMR. A DigiLink interface which will provide their clinicians with access to PDFs of the finalized Cardiac MR structured reports within GE. A DICOM Store-to-PACS interface will forward the Cardiac MR study images from the Digisonics cardiovascular information system directly to the facility's Fuji Synapse PACS with edited exams information.
