China Briefing Compares Cost of Living Across Asia

The November issue of the China business news publication, China Briefing, provides an analysis of the costs of living across Asia. Over a dozen Asian cities are included in the analysis, which looks at wages, taxes, rent, travel and living costs.

China Briefing has released a free analysis of the costs of living in emerging markets across Asia. The analysis compares the cost of living in over a dozen major cities in Asia including Bangkok, Beijing, Delhi, Hong Kong, Jakarta and Singapore. This issue of China Briefing is essential reading for anyone doing, or thinking about doing, business in Asia.

The report includes a detailed analysis of salaries and wages, which looks at taxes, social security and working hours. Using wages as a factor of purchasing power, the analysis then looks at which cities in Asia are the most expensive for consumers for a range of purchases including food, clothing, fuel and public transport.

Entertainment and travel costs are also compared, determining which cities in Asia are the most expensive in which to eat out or stay in a hotel.

The report can be downloaded for free from the China Briefing website www.china-briefing.com, when you take out a complimentary subscription.
