The Story of a Boy and Autism Unawareness, a new novel, that highlights autism awareness and offers empathy and hope for families dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder and some of the co-morbid conditions associated with the disorder.
Beatriz Fox's eye-opening and personal debut novel, Chris Will... The Story of a Boy and Autism Unawareness, is told from her interpreted point of view of her 12-year-old autistic son, herself and her neurotypical 11-year-old daughter. She intersperses poetry and narrative to detail the days of their lives with autism as the backdrop of their world.
The novel is a quick, informative read that is heartfelt and inspiring, detailing the raw emotions of her 12-year-old autistic son, 11-year-old neurotypical daughter and of herself. The tale journeys into a world that many are unaware exists and explores humanity (or lack of) and the power of a mother's love while coping with a challenging disorder where the co-morbid conditions of the disorder are just as impacting as the prominent disorder itself. It covers their past, present and suspected future with the main idea embracing hope.
