Christian Bale Hangs Up The Bat Suit
Online, December 3, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Started with 'Batman Begins,' in 2005, Christian Bale has finished the final scenes of the comic series 'Dark Knight of Gotham City.' Like all rides, the batman ride too must come to an end. The actor spoke to the Philippine Daily Inquirer and said that the production had wrapped up everything and it is perhaps the end of the Batman era.
Christian and director Christopher Nolan had created three series, and took the super hero movie to a new height. The third film is set to release in July 2012; with anticipations mounting high. The actor has been on a roller coaster ride, playing Batman. His career began with a few blockbusters and a cultish fanfare after the release of "American Psycho" and "Velvet Goldmine." However it was the Batman role that catapulted Bale into a different level of stardom. He was the one who acted in the next series of studio films along with other famous Hollywood stars.
In the middle however he was caught up in a controversy, but Chris moved on. It was his focus that won him a Golden Globe and an Academy Award. In one film he portrayed a real life boxer, and a drug addict in another.
Bale has always been spotted with unconventional roles, and has always shown a wide range as an actor. The fans are however eyeing what the now vilified Batman has to deliver. There is going to be the return of the Catwoman too played by Anne Hathaway. Did we hear that she got engaged recently? The final saga also would be featuring Joseph Gordon Levitt and Tom Hardy.
With just the final chapter of Batman era remaining, Bale plans a new life ahead. He should not be having the slightest of doubts though. With an Oscar and a sparklingly successful franchisee to his credit, Bale can venture any territory.
