Christmas Tree Recycling To Benefit Washington D.C.'s Murch Elementary School

Online, January 4, 2012 (Newswire.com) - For the twentieth consecutive year, Branches Tree Experts will donate all equipment and manpower to recycle Washington, D.C. residents' Christmas Trees. The initiative not only provides a great environmentally-sustainable disposal method for the trees, but it also raises money for the school, and promotes healthy tree and plant growth from the resulting mulch.

The recycling event will be held on January 7th, 2012 from 10AM to 2PM in the Murch Elementary School playground, located at 4810 36th Street, NW. For a requested $15 donation per tree, the event is open to anyone who would like to recycle their tree and receive a free bag of mulch for their contribution.

In collaboration with Murch Elementary for twenty years, Branches Tree Experts management and staff have donated their time in order to help fund school projects and other extracurricular activities. With over $7,500 raised, on average, during each year of the recycling event (i.e., roughly 500 trees at $15 per tree), Branches has become a pioneer in servicing the community with its efforts to help keep the environment in pristine condition.
