Churchill's Fine Teas Wins 1st Place in 2017 Global Tea Championship

Lemon Drops Takes The Prize

Kathleen Kern, Founder & Co-owner

Kathleen Kern, co-owner of Churchill's Fine Teas, announces a customer favorite has won 1st Place in the Global Tea Championship by World Tea News.

"We are excited to announce Churchill's Fine Teas’ “Lemon Drops” has won 1st Place in the Flavored Black Tea category in the Global Tea Championship," states Kern. "We have been in the tea business since 2003, but this is the first year we have participated in the Global Tea Championship. It was a wonderful last minute decision to enter our popular Lemon Drops loose-leaf black tea, which we also offer in decaffeinated and sachet varieties."

Churchill's Fine Teas choose Lemon Drops to submit because it is one of those teas that is perfectly balanced and tastes great hot or iced. The balance is created with mountain grown Ceylon black tea, Australian lemon myrtle, and lemon peel, which provides a rich creamy lemon flavor from natural ingredients. The decaffeinated version of Lemon Drops is currently being served at The Taft Museum of Art, Cincinnati, Ohio during their formal Afternoon Tea.

Churchill's Fine Teas has previously won quite a few local awards for best tea shop and best tea selection, which has been wonderful since the customers vote on those awards. However, this is their first award from the leading peer group and the company has discovered that this is very special too.

Churchill's Fine Teas is planning a special event for their in-store and on-line customers once the distinguished award arrives. Churchill's Fine Teas specializes in premium organic and organic compliant teas from around the world. Providing the largest tea selection in the Midwest.

The Global Tea Championship was previously the North American Tea Championship until this
2017 event and opened the event to the whole world of tea. Tea purveyors from 16 countries entered their teas in 49 categories. www.teachampionship.com/tc16/Public/Enter.aspx
