Cimarron Alliance Foundation Kicks Off LGBT Pride Month with "Pride in Art" Show

A one-night-only art gallery reception, show, and sale celebrating Oklahoma LGBT and LGBT-supportive artists. This is a free event and open to all.

The Cimarron Alliance Foundation will begin LGBT Pride Month in Oklahoma City with Pride in Art, a one-night-only art show, sale, and reception on Saturday, June 5. The free event will be held at Istvan Gallery, 1218 N. Western, Oklahoma City, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.

Pride in Art will showcase the creativity and diversity among LGBT and LGBT-supportive artists. The festive, casual evening will also feature entertainment provided by Mary Reynolds, Louise Goldberg, and Jamie Bramble. There will also be a portraiture demonstration by artist Sam Echols.

Other artists participating in the show include: Jennifer Barron, Gary Bates, Rick and Tracey Bewley, Brian Boone, John Carter, Sue Clancy, Ron Ferrell, Richard Kleffman, Christina Kovash, Don Holladay, Lynn Mallett, Bernadette Martinez, Cindy Mason, Kenny McCage, Paul Medina, Monty Milburn, Louis Scott, Joe Slack, Sue Moss Sullivan, Frank Troutman, Rhonda Polen Wernick, and Cynthia Daniel Wolf. Each artist will provide up to five pieces of original art for the show. Sales will benefit both the artists and the Cimarron Alliance Foundation.

Event sponsors include Premium Beers of Oklahoma - Bud Light, Iguana Mexican Grill, Istvan Gallery, and Art Fusion Studios.
