Course Description
Materials Management: Materials management plays vital role in logistics that deals with the tangible components of a supply chain. Materials management covers the acquisition of spare parts, replacements, quality control of purchasing and ordering such parts, and the standards involved in ordering, shipping and warehousing the said parts.

MBA - Material Management is management level course, of 2 years duration. It is offered in degree mode. Students pursuing this course get to understand the key role of Material management in logistics dealing with the tangible components of a supply chain.

Materials management is typically comprised of four basic activities:
1. Anticipating materials requirements.
2. Sourcing and obtaining materials.
3. Introducing materials into the organization.
4. Monitoring the status of materials as a current asset.
