“In order for Middle East organizations, cities and communities to fully embrace the IoT today and the IoE of the future, institutions will need to become digitized. Becoming a digital business requires an agile IT model, and the ability to rethink core processes for the digital era. The Internet of Things (IoT), the networked connection of devices where we are today, is the foundation for next wave of the internet – the Internet of Everything (IoE)—which we are already witnessing. The Internet of Everything (IoE) will bring people, processes, data and things together seamlessly through intelligent networked connections resulting in new customer and citizen experiences, improved operational efficiencies, breakthrough innovations and entirely new economic models for services and growth.
At Cisco’s IoTX booth (#IoT-4), video content and a live city display will be utilized to demonstrate various ‘real life’ Smart City scenarios including Smart Energy, Smart Transportation, Smart Parking, Retail, Healthcare and Remote Diagnostics. “Imagine no more traffic jams, never having to search for a parking space, no more flight delays, having intelligent transportation for emergency services, and ensuring a better environment for our next generation of leaders – that’s what a Smart City will deliver,” Dabboussi concluded on a high note.
Cisco’s global executives and technology experts will be available at their stand #IoT-4 to meet with customers, demonstrate their latest innovative technologies and share their global IoE and Smart Cities success stories with them.
