Civil Engineering Contractor Raymond Brown places £65,000 order for Workspace
Online, December 21, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Raymond Brown is a Civil Engineering Contractor with offices in Hampshire and throughout the South. They have purchased Workspace for their 100 PC users to consolidate contacts, bring control over email communications and reduce the paper trail in the business. Workspace is the UK's leading construction project management application, with 35,000 users across the construction supply chain.
Having invested heavily in a growing marketing team Raymond Brown needed a system to better support the team in their activities. The existing CRM system was isolated to the marketing department so there was little cross transfer of knowledge within the business. Contact records were stored in several places including the CRM system, Outlook and personal hard copy address books, making finding up to date contact details difficult. Due to a very successful last few years for Raymond Brown, there was a need to be able to control the growing number of emails. Raymond Brown are currently keeping hard copies of all project emails which, as well as taking up space is generating a huge amount of unnecessary email traffic and wasting time with the addition of lengthy manual processes.
Stuart Harris, Group Financial Director, had previously worked for a company that had adopted Workspace. "We looked at a few systems that could distinctly address the main problem areas in the business of CRM and email management. However Workspace was the only solution that could solve both of these problems in one and further integrate other information sources in the company." Stuart was impressed with how far the product had come along since he had previously implemented it, "The email functionality especially has developed considerably. We were very impressed with the simplicity of the drag and drop functionality and integration with Outlook which is very user friendly."
Stuart is confident that the Workspace implementation will bring significant efficiency savings and material cost savings to Raymond Brown. "When I implemented Workspace at a previous company the paper bill alone dropped by two thirds, with the huge increase in emails in recent years and with Workspace negating the need to print them all off I expect the savings to be significant."
The Workspace implementation will enable more efficient sharing of information across offices and on site. Currently information is distributed manually by the marketing team; Workspace will facilitate a more intuitive pull of information from the users, which will be live and available online. Raymond Brown is experiencing a busy time currently and the foundations that will be laid by Workspace will help the business to grow in the future.
