Online, November 11, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Today Clearent, one of the nation's fastest growing merchant processing companies, announced that Chris Carman has joined the company as its Chief Financial Officer.
Chris's early stage technology company experience, combined with his extensive commercial and investment banking experience, makes him an ideal fit for a rapidly-growing financial technology company like Clearent. As SVP of Business Development at Exegy, a venture capital-backed provider of high performance computing solutions for securities traders, Chris led a variety of initiatives including capital raising, financial budgeting, partnership development and supply chain management.
Prior to Exegy, Chris was a Managing Director in the technology investment banking group at A.G. Clearent is excited about the skill set that Chris brings to the company, especially in steering early stage technology companies through rapid growth. In addition to managing the finance and accounting team, Chris's leadership in business strategy, corporate development, and growth company financing will be helpful as Clearent continues to grow its payment processing business at a rapid pace.
Chris holds a BSBA in finance and a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics from the University of Missouri - Columbia, and an MBA from Washington University.
"I'm thrilled about the wealth of experience that Chris is bringing to our team," said Dan Geraty, CEO of Clearent. "His skills and expertise will help us identify and act on new growth opportunities."
