Clinical Professionals Raise Over £250 for Walk the Walk

Clinical Professionals have raised over £250 for Walk the Walk, a breast cancer grant making charity.

The Clinical Professionals Group, Europe's leading independent pharmaceutical recruitment company, yesterday announced that the group had raised over £250 for Walk the Walk.

Tuesday's fundraising event involved employees at Clinical Professionals donating a minimum of £1 to dress as a superhero for the day or being fined £4 if they didn't arrive in costume!

Throughout the day Clinical Professionals' employees competed in teams to be awarded the top performing team of the day. Cakes were also sold for 50p each, employees made additional personal donations, and the Clinical Professionals Group matched all funds that were raised.

Walk the Walk is a grant making charity to support patients living with breast cancer and support research into the disease. Walk the Walk specifically aims to support research projects that would normally struggle to obtain the required funding, allowing researchers to learn more on the causes of breast cancer, and improve current treatments for the disease.

The Clinical Professionals Group's CEO, Yvette Cleland, commented: "One of our team had a partner doing the Moon Walk and we wished to further support her efforts in fundraising. Clinical Professionals runs charity days throughout the year, raising funds for both local and national charities selected by our internal teams. This was a great day of fun for the whole business with an excellent outcome for Walk the Walk and internal teamwork in fundraising. Breast cancer charities are of great personal interest to me having lost friends to this awful disease, it was a superb day."
