Cloud Training Technology and Major IT Project Shortlisted for Two E-Learning Awards

A major UK training provider has been nominated for its pioneering virtual classroom technology, and a major IT system roll out at Royal Mail Group.

Cloud-based learning technology solution, CloudRooms, has been recognised as one of the most innovative new learning hardware or software products. The technology developed by REDTRAY, has been shortlisted for the award for its different approach to live online learning.

The IT consultancy giant CSC* was the first adopter of CloudRooms. The solution reduced costs of the company's training by up to 40%, and increased their training effectiveness by three times in a period of just one year.

In another category, a different project that migrated Royal Mail Group* employees to a new Microsoft IT system ensured REDTRAY has been shortlisted for the Best e-learning project securing widespread adoption.

The major system transformation at Royal Mail was carried out in just ten weeks during which over 27,500 staff were trained to use new Microsoft software. This was the largest technology transformation Royal Mail Group has ever undertaken.

Bob Woodland, Chairman and CEO of REDTRAY says, "We worked hard on both these projects and the results they delivered have really benefited our clients. We are delighted to be shortlisted for two E-Learning Awards this year. The competition was fierce and to find ourselves among the finalists in the categories of most innovative learning product, as well as the best e-learning project is already a reward on its own."

The E-Learning Awards Gala Evening will be held at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, on Thursday 10 November 2011.
