Club Diva Doesn't Let Hospital Get In The Way Of Charity Work

Canadian Stacey Jackson, singer and club diva, this week presented a cheque for £20,000 to the charity 'Music For Youth' at their annual concert at London's Royal Albert Hall.

Stacey who is an ambassador for the charity had raised the money from the profits of her debut album 'Upside Down' which was released earlier this year. Unfortunately Stacey was taken into hospital yesterday after a bad case of food poising left her needing to be put on a drip. However not wanting to let the charity she left hospital to go straight to the Royal Albert Hall with the canula still in her arm. They think the poisoning was the result of bad sushi and she is currently in hospital waiting for test results to confirm. Unfortunately until her blood pressure rises they will not release her but they were able to get enough saline into her body to enable her to be released for an hour to do the cheque presentation. The doctors were not thrilled about letting her out but she only consented to being admitted if she was able to go to the concert.

Stacey Jackson is a 41 year old mum and housewife who after the birth of her four children decided to follow her passion for music and release an album. Most of her friends decided to open up little boutiques or run child friendly business's from home but she has chosen to go out on tour doing PA's in clubs to silly o'clock in the morning, and embark in what some may say a crazy career choice.

Her last single, 'I Hear A Symphony', went to number 9 in the club charts sandwiched between Kylie and Lady Gaga. Stacey is also an ambassador for leading charity Music for Youth and gave talented young musicians across the country an opportunity to be on her album, proceeds from the album went to the charity and Stacey has raised over £20000. This week she presented this cheque to the charity at the Royal Albert Hall.

Stacey is currently in talks with production companies at the moment about doing a fly on the wall type documentary, she has just finished filming her music video for her new single 'I Am A Woman' which is set for release end of Nov.
