Clube Amostra Grátis: On May 11th São Paulo launches the first free store in Latin America

Uniting the concepts of sampling and tryvertising, Clube Amostra Grátis makes possible to take home your favorite products without paying for them

A store that offers a wide range of products for its members - for free. This is becoming the latest buzz in São Paulo, where two local entrepreneurs, Luiz Gaeta and Denis Shimada, are opening Clube Amostra Grátis (Free Sample Club, loosely translated).

In tune with the trend of tryvertising (or try before you buy, as it's popularly known), the Club will gather in one place a variety of items for its members to take home and try. And, since there is no such thing as a free lunch, members will be asked to participate in short surveys on the products they test. It might not be a free lunch, but it has to be the closest thing to it.
Members will have access to new releases of products, life size samples and a chance to have a say on ways to improve what they test.

The concept already exists in one way or another in Japan, China, USA and Spain. Brazil will have its first in Latin America with Clube Amostra Gratis.

How does it work?

Fill up the application on line, pay the fee and visit the store. There you will receive a members card that will give you access to the store on your next visits. As a members you can take up to five items per month. They have to be different items and they cannot be taken again on future visits.
After taking the products and testing them, you login and answer the surveys on line.

Is it really for free?

Yes, once you pay the membership fee, which is valid for a year, you don´t have to pay for any products at all. Very much like the internet, members use the service for free. The bill goes to the companies that buy access to this kind of feedback.
