CMYA Announces Educational Launch

Online, November 16, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Civic Minded Young America (CMYA) is pleased to announce a new educational initiative called I Am: Civic Minded.

A non-profit organization, CMYA launches this program in the wake of midterm elections with devastatingly low turnout and increasing frustration among young voters.

I Am: Civic Minded is designed to bring political discourse into the educational process well before the university level, as well as to continue providing opportunities for political involvement for young Americans beyond campus life.

CMYA firmly believes that the younger people are when they begin to learn about politics, the better suited they become to reasonable and rational debate later on. By cultivating civic engagement before students reach voting age, CMYA aims to provide an open and informed outlet whereby young Americans will develop a solid understanding and appreciation of our nation's political process.
