CNN World News Interviews Mel Brake Of Mel BrakE Press About Love/Addiction

Mel Brake is interviewed by CNN Health Writer and Producer Elizabeth Landau for her article about rejection and love, and can love be addicted and how does one move on from a tough relationship.

CNN's Elizabeth Landau who writes and produces content for health, science and technology. Her story goes into details about the possibility of love being an addiction like cocaine. She interviews Mel Brake about how he survived his previous love relationship and how poetry may have saved his life. Mel Brake talks about a subject publicly for the first time that is both personal and private.

Elizabeth writes, "According to new research, the brutality of loving someone who has rejected you has a biological underpinning. A study published in this month's issue of Journal of Neurophysiology finds that, for those who have been recently rejected, the brain may treat love as an addiction, craving it in the same way as cocaine.

Fisher and colleagues did a brain imaging study of 15 people who had recently been rejected in love -- on average, 63 days before the study. Such a small sample size is typical for neuroimaging research".
