CO-OP Spotlights Four Local Residents for Dedication to Assisting Those With Developmental Disabilities.

Dighton, MA, October 23, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Four local residents were honored at CO-OP’s Annual Meeting held on Wednesday, October 21 at Venus de Milo Restaurant in Swansea. The recipients are recognized for their contributions to community services for people with developmental and other disabilities.

Those being honored include Fran McCarthy for his commitment to people with disabilities and the founding father of monthly dances, known as Fran’s Dances, held at Taunton’s P.A.C.C. and recently featured in The Taunton Gazette.

Michael McKenna, President of Partners Benefit Group, is being recognized for his ongoing support of multiple organizations assisting people with disabilities. McKenna has made a profound impression on CO-OP and the many individuals they support.

Brian Poulici has supported CO-OP with his many talents and contributions to CO-OP’s music program, Music 4 CO-OP, and the 2015 Talent Show. Brian worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the music program initiatives, for which he is given this special recognition.

Finally, CO-OP gives tribute to Jane Melo, Community Health Teacher at Bristol Plymouth Regional Vocational School, for her commitment to a number of career-focused programs. Jane was instrumental in guiding students along their chosen career path including opportunities in the field of developmental disabilities.
