For example, Kelsey recommends arriving early to everything. It’s calmer and less noisy before the whole group shows up, and other attendees have not had the opportunity to split into groups yet. This makes it easier to strike up a conversation with someone new.

Also, she teaches her people how to break the ice with simple questions like May I join you? in order to meet new people. She encourages them to engage in active listening as well. Kelsey explained, “Listening is the best way to get to know someone, and it shows a significant level of care and concern for the person to whom you are speaking.”
