Cold Chain 2012 to Provide Industrialists With Knowledge on Latest Developments in the Food and Pharma Sector

The conference is a complex interplay of product, packaging materials and transportation methods complying with an evolving regulatory landscape. Experts from leading healthcare, food and beverage companies are sharing their views on the hottest issues in cold chain and its management.

The key note speech and opening remarks were delivered by Shashi Shekhar, Founder and Group President of Supply Chain and Logistics Group (SCLG). His presentation gave an overview of cold chain and the global and local trends. Mr. Shekhar 's speech was followed by a presentation on cold chain hazard analysis by Dr. Fadi Naser Al-Natour, Agri - Food Risk Management Analyst, HACCP Team , Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA).

Attendees took part in a panel discussion on 'challenges of cold chain in the hospital industry, predictive tools for cold chain optimization and sustainable cold chain - food and pharmaceuticals.' This session was led by Dr. Kishan Pakkal, Director Operations from Zulekha Hospital. The audience had the opportunity to ask questions and participate in an interactive discussion with the speakers from the morning session.

After the morning networking session, Chairman Prathapa Chandra Shetty, Executive Director , Emirates Star Fisheries delivered his speech on significance of finely tuned cold chain in seafood industry and certification.
