CollegeAmerica Colorado Springs campus offers GED tutoring at no charge

CollegeAmerica has announced its decision to offer General Educational Development (GED) tutoring at no charge to students who are interested in attending college, but don't have a high school diploma or GED certificate.

Colorado Springs, CO, April 07, 2010 - In a move that could have a significant impact on enrollments, CollegeAmerica has announced its decision to offer General Educational Development (GED) tutoring at no charge to students who are interested in attending college, but don't have a high school diploma or GED certificate. The tutoring program is being offered at CollegeAmerica's Colorado Springs campus in Colorado.

The GED certificate is equivalent to a high school diploma and is designed for those who, for a variety of reasons, could not attend traditional high school. It involves taking a series of tests that will assess high school level skills and knowledge of candidates taking the test. Once students pass the GED test and have their certificate, they are eligible to attend college.

All students interested in attending CollegeAmerica are eligible for its GED tutoring program. Candidates will be required to meet with an Admissions Consultant, who will go through the entire admission process with them and make sure the tutoring program meets their specific needs.

Students who enroll in the GED program will be given a preliminary test to gauge their knowledge and determine the areas that need to be addressed. Students will then go through tutoring until they pass all the sections and are confident of taking the test. They have the flexibility to attend the program at their convenience and don't have to schedule a fixed time for tutoring.

Once they complete the admission formalities and commit to attending college, CollegeAmerica will arrange for the students to take the GED test at a neighboring facility. All CollegeAmerica students will be required to take the test at the same GED center.

CollegeAmerica understands that each individual learns at his or her own pace, and has therefore not set any timeframe for students to complete the GED program. In fact, it encourages students to remain in tutoring until they feel confident taking the test.
