Colonel W.G. Bonvouloir's Newly Released 'The Army Air Corps: Branch Immaterial' is a Personal Memoir of a Man Who Did His Duty in Service to His Country

“Branch Immaterial” is the story of how they did this. After the war, Bonvouloir returned to Midland, Michigan and dabbled in real estate. He spent over twenty years as a professional fundraiser for non-profit organizations and retired to Sun City, Arizona where he pursued volunteer projects and remained active with the Luke Air Force retirees. He died on Christmas Day 1995.

His daughter, Virginia Bonvouloir Philippy shares, “Dad received greetings from the government in August 1941. He said to our mother, ‘Nancy, don’t worry. I’m thirty-six, married with three children, and I’m overweight. They won’t take me.’”
