Combat Houston Is Bringing Paintball to the Galleria

Online, September 16, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The Galleria Area in Houston is a place known as an upscale urban development. It has excellent shopping, superb restaurants and an electric night life. It almost had everything, and now it does. Combat Houston has arrived.

The paintball field opens with two courses, one with a standard Air Ball and the other a unique Rec Ball. The Air Ball course is designed with massive air-filled structures in perfect mirror of each other. The Recreation Ball field is built with bare-bones shacks, broken-down cars, and boats run aground. It is the antithesis to the Air Ball course.

All this has come because of a new team in business, Marcus Stern and Stacy Young. Stern is a veteran of the Houston business scene, whose ventures include Ticket Attractions, Wristbands.net, and Miles for Money.

Young is a former Navy officer who is a paintball veteran. He brought the game to Sicily 13 years ago and moved back to the states to open his first domestic field in Galveston three years ago. He has built his business on a high standard of professionalism that he expects from his staff, which finished first in their division in the PSP World Cup last year.

"I've had great success overseas and just off the coast," said Young. "I am excited to move into one of the biggest markets in the country."

The two expect Combat Houston to serve both those paintball players just showing up for a pickup game and those who intend on making the trip an event - those interested in fund raising events, celebrating birthdays and bachelor parties, and even corporate team-building excursions.
