Community members will learn about programs, special initiatives and incredible opportunities that the youth in Santa Monica have available to them. The tour includes a visit of the technology center; music studio; a commercial-grade kitchen where members learn about nutrition and cooking; the learning center where members receive help with homework and tutoring; the gymnasium where members engage in large group activities and sports; and other program areas of the Club, including the outside play areas.

The Club serves approximately 4,000 youth from 131 zip codes with the majority of members coming from Santa Monica, Culver City, Venice, West Los Angeles and Inglewood. Programs are aimed at ensuring youth, particularly those who need it most, have a safe, fun and engaging place to be after school and during school breaks, while gaining the skills necessary to achieve academic success, develop good character and citizenship and practice healthy lifestyles.

Established in 1944, the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica is “to inspire and enable all youth, especially those who needs us most, to realize their full potential, as productive, responsible and caring citizens”.
