Como Mobile V2 Underway

In response to the growing demand for mobile compatible websites and web based applications, Como Group released 'Como.Mobile' V1.0 beta in November 2009.

This revolutionary new platform enabled Como Group clientele to captivate the rapidly increasing segment of "on the go" customers by producing a mobile capable version of their website which could dynamically adapt itself to conform to the display standards of 5000+ different mobile phone handsets.

Como Group Chief Solutionist Liam Thomas said "the initial launch of Como.Mobile was a huge success for Como Group and its participating customers, and as a result the demand has shifted to our clients requiring the ability to produce their own content on the fly without developer intervention."

"Our new release will include a Mobile Content Management System built from the ground up. As a truly unique advantage, our customers will be able to tailor both content and template design for specific devices such as the iPhone [currently accounting for 80%+ of mobile based web traffic within Australia] in order to deliver a rich and interactive experience on high end mobile devices. We're also considering the release of an open source version as a solid contribution to the developer community."

As a new enhancement in Como.Mobile v2.0, the system will host the ability to call upon native handset features such as geo-location and mapping, in turn reducing user input and rapidly connecting customers with the products or services which they are searching for.

This new version will not only produce a rich mobile website viewing experience for 5000+ handsets, but it will also automatically inherit the specifications of newly released handsets.

Como Group Director Phil Davis stated "There is absolutely no doubt that mobile handsets are rapidly becoming the PC of the future. Como Group has closely monitored mobile trends for quite some time now, and Como will continue to focus its R&D investment in this area to ensure that we stay ahead of the pack."

Como.Mobile V2.0 is due for release on May 20, 2010, for more details visit http://www.comogroup.com.au
