Computer Lab Solutions To Participate At SPUSC 2010

Online, November 1, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Computer Lab Solutions is happy to announce their involvement in SPUSC 2010. They will be exhibiting at the 22nd Annual South Pacific User Services Conference, as well as touching base with clients, meeting with potential customers, and detailing new features of the much anticipated LabStats 5.0. The conference will be held November 29 to December 2 at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.

The goal of SPUSC is to highlight the challenges that arise within university IT environments and provide effective strategies and solutions. LabStats allows users to manage computers in a large networked IT environment as if they were on a first name basis with each computer. The LabStats Suite includes the core product, LabStats, which allows users to keep track of user logins and basic computer usage. AppUse, a LabStats plugin, tracks application launches and duration of use. Other plugins include LabMaps, which displays an interactive map of computer availability, and JuicePress, which allows users to track energy consumption of their computers and conserve power.

SPUSC will feature more than 250 delegates, exhibitors, speakers and support staff from educational institutions in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Quality lectures and workshops from industry leaders will contribute to this year's theme, "Generation Next." The context is an assessment of the possibilities today to solve tomorrow's problems, and will cover topics such as management practices, work spaces, connectivity, green work environment, building capability, self-service, service management, and leadership. SPUSC is held each year in association with the Council of Australian University Directors of Information Technology (CAUDIT).
