Congress Canada Contributes Event Expertise To The Canada Green Building Council National Conference & Expo 2012

Toronto DMC Congress Canada joins forces with the Canada Green Building Council for their annual conference & expo in June 2012

Congress Canada, a destination management company in Toronto, will be lending its support to this year's annual Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) National Conference & Expo 2012.

The Toronto conference, taking place from June 11-13, 2012, is the largest green building event in Canada each year. The event hopes to lay the groundwork of ideas for future innovation, as the green building industry works to move Canada toward a more holistic approach to city planning and neighbourhood design. The three-day event, taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, will feature world-renowned speakers, over 30 continuing education sessions, and a 100 booth expo floor.

Along with informative conference sessions organized in six streams, the CaGBC Gala Dinner and Achievement Awards will be held on June 12 at the Fairmont Royal York and will feature a keynote address by Canadian politician and diplomat Stephen Lewis.

As a recognized leader in corporate event planning in Toronto, Congress Canada will be arranging the decor and event entertainment for the conference gala dinner and awards ceremony, as well as the tradeshow floor opening and the VIP reception.

"We are happy to be working on the CaGBC National Conference & Expo 2012 with Congress Canada," says Sarah Burns, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the CaGBC. "Their understanding and respect of our needs and budget, and their creative approach to our decor and entertainment were what we were looking for when planning for another successful conference."

The Canada Green Building Council is the leading national industry organization advancing green building and sustainable community development practices. It represents a cross section of organizations involved in the design, construction and operation of buildings and homes. The CaGBC reduces environmental impacts from the built environment through education/training, building certification, performance benchmarking and reporting, advocacy and information sharing. It is also the license holder for the LEED green building rating system in Canada. As a firm supporter of enterprises aimed to increase innovation and sustainability in Canada, Congress Canada is pleased to partner with CaGBC and offer its expertise in Toronto event management. With CaGBC being an essential force in the advancement of sustainable development, Congress Canada is looking forward to making this year's annual conference a success.
