Consumer Education Is the Difference Between Success and Failure in the Battle Against Bed Bugs

Getting rid of bed bugs is a battle with a very small, blood-sucking enemy. A new book, Bed Bug Battle Plan by Garrett Thrasher, fills the information-gap between pest control operators and people suffering from bed bugs.

Getting rid of bed bugs and keeping homes free from bed bugs is a battle…with a very small, blood-sucking enemy. Make no mistake, bed bugs are tough combatants: they wear tough armor, attack under cover of darkness, employ chemical weapons to numb your skin and cause your blood to flow, hide in the most difficult to find locations, and can survive without food for as long as 550 days. Reinforcements hatch every 10 days. The good news, if there is any, is that bed bugs are not known to transmit human diseases.

One more bit of good news: sufferers can win the battle against bed bugs as long as they have high-quality intelligence about this resilient pest. Bed Bug Battle Plan: Field Tested Solutions for Bed Bug Extermination and Prevention by Garrett Thrasher provides the most up-to-date techniques for battling and preventing bed bug infestations. Packed with information and filled with full-color photos, this book can make the difference between success and failure in getting rid of bed bugs.

"After performing thousands of bed bug treatments, I know that the number one predictor of success is the active participation of the affected people. While many pest control operators are good at their jobs, many fail in their ability to adequately arm their clients for the battle against bed bugs. I wrote the Bed Bug Battle Plan as a tool to help people understand their role in controlling bed bugs and to help them understand their bed bug control options," said Garrett Thrasher.
