Contestants That Didn't Win, But Still Made It To Vegas Via Television Buzz
Online, November 4, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Shows such as "America's Got Talent", "American Idol" and "So You Think You Can Dance" have been popular for years now. From discovering raw talent to touching hearts, these shows have no doubt made a significant impact on society. Even though everyone who makes it to the finals or even the semi-finals does hope to win the grand prize, fans and viewers realize that only one of their favorites will ultimately make it to the top. So does this mean it is in turn over for those who fall in second, third or even tenth place?
On America's Got Talent for example, part of the grand prize is a headlining show on the Las Vegas strip. This a dream for many acts and in particular musicians and dancers since this is the one place in America where they can truly be recognized for their unique talents. (Now, some contestants may sometimes even be ruled out since they would not fit well in the Las Vegas scene such as young children.) But if you look back at previous seasons, numerous fan favorites still made it to Las Vegas due to the popularity of the show. All it takes is one viewer, either in person or on television to think an act is genius and they can go places they never imagined. Everything does not have to rest on blowing the majority's mind and walking away with first place.
Anxious, gifted performers from dance groups, contortionists and singers still find themselves going places in Sin City. Vegas hotels on the strip such as Circus Circus, Treasure Island and more pick up these acts because they are well known regardless of a captivating title. Television publicity really does help a rising star in any case. Even when a hotel does not take on an act, many artists take it upon themselves to set up shop freelancing on the Vegas strip. Following a dream may not always be easy, but it is always achievable.
Never let anyone or anything hold you back. Regardless of whether an act makes it to television or not they should still keep putting themselves in front of the general public.
