Cool Glow Donates Glow Necklaces to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 5K

Online, November 9, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Hundreds of people ran and walked the Run Like Hell 5K. Proceeds from the event went to the Kentucky/West Virginia chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. To help the participants remain safe and visible in the dark, Cool Glow donated 500 glow necklaces.

The race began at dusk at the Distillery Commons and wound through the Highlands area and then back to the starting point. There was then a Halloween party with a DJ and music from 93.1, the Fox, along with food, fun and dancing for everyone attending. Afterward, an exclusive party for Run Like Hell participants and sponsors ages 21 and over was held at O'Shea's on Baxter Avenue.

The Kentucky/West Virginia Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation organizes events throughout the year, including formal galas, dinner parties and golf tournaments, to drum up support and interest for Cystic Fibrosis research. The chapter supports the community, including people with CF and their families, loved ones, volunteers, and donors throughout the Kentucky/West Virginia area.

"The Run Like Hell 5K is a great way to bring the community together and to raise awareness about CF," Ms. Morgio said. "We hope that our contribution to their cause makes their efforts that much more successful."
