Coralville, Iowa, Software Company Revolutionizes Automotive Aftermarket

Green Team Technologies (GTT) of Coralville, Iowa, is continuing to create local jobs as it takes on demand for its new Fuse5 software product, a point-of-sale software product created for the aftermarket auto parts industry.

(Coralville, Iowa) - Coming off the best quarter in the company's history, Green Team Technologies (GTT) is continuing to create local jobs as it takes on demand for its Fuse5 software product. The company recently signed eleven new customers and continues to work with buying groups that represent independently owned auto parts stores throughout the United States.

Fuse5 is a point-of-sale software product created for the aftermarket auto parts industry, and according to GTT's founder Gabe Davis, the first new software product in this industry since 2001.

"Fuse5 helps independent auto parts store owners manage every part of their business through a web-based software solution," said Davis. "The major advantage of Fuse5 is real-time improvements in functionality, similar to how Facebook rolls out new features."

In September of 2010, GTT received a $150,000 Demonstration Fund Award from the state of Iowa to help launch Fuse5. The fund helps small and medium-sized Iowa companies commercialize their product through market planning and market entry activities.

Since that time, GTT has continued to add clients and staff and is currently hiring.

"We are currently based in Coralville and hiring for that location, but will have offices in North Liberty in the future," said Davis, an Iowa State grad and father of two. "Our company represents the future of Iowa: commercializing innovation and building a company here in the heart of the Corridor. As we continue to add customers, there will be a constant demand for software developers, testers and trainers as well as customer service representatives."

The flexibility of Fuse5 allows GTT to solve business management challenges across multiple automotive parts segments including employee, customer and vendor management; forecasting; purchasing; and dynamic pricing. Additionally, Fuse5 can be adapted for similar markets, such as performance and accessories, powersports, tractor and trailer, or other retail markets which require tracking millions of products within a closely defined space.

Davis said GTT is consistently improving the product to provide the most advanced technology based on customers' needs. "This industry has relied on legacy systems with infrequent updates for the last 30 years. Using cloud based technology, we have a product this industry has never seen and we can release improvements daily."

GTT has already received requests to sell Fuse5 in many other countries, including Canada, Puerto Rico, Ireland and much of Central and South America. The company plans to provide a multi-lingual solution in the near future.

The GTT team relies on the background of its members, many with software, sales and IT background, to further develop its products. Additionally, the company assembled a board of local and regional entrepreneurs to help guide its growth.

"We're fortunate to be located in such a dynamic area," said Davis. "Great things are happening here."
