The Forum was held at the prestigious Charles Sumner School Museum & Archives located at 1201 17th Street NW Washington DC. The structure is a beautifully restored historic site in Washington DC, a property of the District of Columbia. The building currently houses the official Archives of the DC Public Schools as well as a research library. There is a museum of public education on site. The space opened as a school in 1872 as the first permanent school for African American children in Washington DC and, with more than $5 million dollars of restoration, is considered one of the most stunning historic buildings in the district.
