Courtyard Century City / Beverly Hills Undergoes Renovation
Online, April 4, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) announces renovations of its 135-room Courtyard Century City/Beverly Hills property located at 10320 West Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles. The hotel remodeled the lobby and added the brand's new Refreshing Business concept to bring more convenience and flexibility to travelers. Other additions include a casual bistro and bar and a 24-hour store.
The new space was created with the business traveler in mind. An open and bright Courtyard hotel lobby replaces the traditional front desk with individual welcome pedestals, providing a more private check-in experience with individualized service. The lobby's design integrates a refreshed contemporary color scheme of brown and orange for a warm and friendly environment. New flexible seating options, ranging from a communal table to private media booths with HDTVs, to semi-private lounge areas, are available to meet a variety of guests' space needs.
Courtyard by Marriott has also integrated its exclusive GoBoard® technology in the new lobby, which is a 52-inch LCD touch screen packed with local information, maps, weather, and news, business and sports headlines. The innovative screen makes nearby restaurant, attraction and direction information accessible to guests at the touch of a finger. The hotel has also installed free WiFi, electrical outlets, and an enlarged business library with complimentary computer terminals. Guests can enjoy the convenience of free printing and a dedicated computer for boarding pass printing and flight status check-in.
"Courtyard prides itself as a brand that listens to what travelers want from a hotel," said Janis Milham, vice president, Global Brand Manager, Courtyard by Marriott. "Guests want more control and choice with services and amenities that create a healthy balance between working and relaxing. We redefined the Courtyard lobby so it invites guests to get out of their rooms to work, socialize or for entertainment, whether traveling alone or with colleagues."
Central to the new lobby is Marriot's casual concept, The Bistro - Eat. Drink. Connect. Created in response to guests' preferences for more choices and additional healthy options, the eatery features higher quality, healthier menu items and the choice to grab-and-go, grab-and-sit or order and be served. Light entree selections include soups, sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and quick bites like Thai and buffalo style wings, as well as comfort food. In the evening, part of The Bistro converts to a welcoming bar serving beer, wine, and a limited selection of cocktails. Additionally, The MarketTM, a 24-hour store with snacks, beverages and sundries, is now open for late-night cravings and travel necessities.
In line with Marriot's signature shade of green, the hotel chain is now greener than ever with a new guest recycling program. All side exits now feature convenient paper, glass, plastic and metal receptacles, addressing the company's commitment to reduce the direct and indirect environmental impacts of its business operations.
