CPR Training Provider American Health Care Academy Visits St. Joseph's Nursing Home
Volunteers from American Health Care Academy, a leading provider of online CPR training and certification courses, recently paid a visit to St. Joseph's Nursing Home, to spend quality time with the residents.
Online, November 16, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Employees of the American Health Care Academy recently visited St. Joseph's Residence, a nursing home in Dallas, to join the residents in games and arts and crafts.
"We help a lot of charities across the country but wanted to do some work right here at home," said the marketing manager for AHCA. "The experience was rewarding for us, and we think it was for the residents, too. We saw the good work St. Joseph's was doing and wanted to be apart of that -- going to St. Joseph's was as meaningful to us as it was to them."
The AHCA staff helped residents make picture frames to frame pictures of loved ones or to give them as gifts. They also hosted and played a bingo game, with the lucky winners walking away with prizes.
Located just south of Dallas's famous Bishop Arts District, St. Joseph's Residence is a Catholic nursing home with a long and honored reputation in the nursing home industry. Named one of America's Best Long-Term Care Providers and published in the Gilbert Guide, St. Joseph's provides quality living and care for single men, women, and married couples over the age of 65.
St. Joseph's is a non-profit organization that, while Catholic, accepts residents of all races, religions, and creeds. They provide a variety of room sizes for different needs, as well as 24-hour amenities, daily and weekly housekeeping, three meals a day, emergency call systems in each room and optional daily mass in its chapel.
The American Health Care Academy provides CPR AED certification and online First Aid certification, designed with the busy adult in mind.
