Change is a funny thing. All businesses understand that they must periodically change the way they operate or, in some cases, even reinvent themselves. Here is the paradox about organizational change: The most opportune time to change with the times is usually when business is going well. This is, however, the time when most organizations postpone change. On the other hand, the least opportune time for an organization to change is when business is flat-lining. Yet, this is usually the time when everyone in the executive suite is crying for change.
