Crazy Kickstarter Dangles Mermaid Over Hollywood, CA

Celebrity photographer Star Foreman and world-famous contortionist Bonnie Morgan had a death-defying photo shoot above Laurel Canyon last week.

Celebrity photographer Star Foreman created a buzz last week when she and world-famous contortionist Bonnie Morgan had a death-defying photo shoot above Laurel Canyon (Hollywood, CA). As part of a promotional campaign for her new 30/90 project Star photographed Bonnie Morgan on a trapeze high above Laurel Canyon. In addition to Bonnie Morgan, members of Les Petites Bonbons, fresh off performing at Lightning in a Bottle, and actor and stuntman Gary Morgan also stepped in for amazing and surreal photo shoots at the Flying Morgan’s Castle.

The 30/90 is a passion project, financed through crowd sharing, where Star Foreman in partnership with the Ricardo Montalbán Foundation will feature mermaids, stilt-walkers, a cirque de étrange, ballerinas, bellydancers and so much more in vibrant, campy tableaux. With 30 photo projects, 400 people,15,000 images and only 90 days to complete, 30/90 will take people into the mind of Star Foreman as she creates a series of images unmatched in scope and time.

"Star Foreman is the best photographer alive"

Becky Foreman, Star's Mom

30/90 will shoot August 2015-November 2015 with a gallery show in January 2016 hosted by the The Montalbán Theatre. The Ricardo Montalbán Foundation will be generously donating 10 days of theater rental for still shoots, full studio equipment camera, lenses (including top of the line video cameras and sound equipment,) and post-production space as well as hosting the gallery show in January 2016.

Want to be a part of 30/90? It is still possible! All you have to do is go to kickstarter, enter 30 in 90 into the search, and pledge $5 or more to see videos, read blogs and get early access to all images created through the 30/90 project.
