Critical Mention Names Vishal Padhye Chief Technology Officer
NEW YORK, August 11, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Critical Mention, the leading earned media platform, has announced the promotion of Vishal Padhye to Chief Technology Officer. Padhye joined Critical Mention in 2013 as Senior Network/Systems Engineer. His leadership has resulted in the improvement and modernization of over 160 globally distributed datacenters, using configuration management, distributed networking, datacenter infrastructure management and hardware lifecycle management.
More recently, Padhye spearheaded the back-end development of Critical Mention’s new Media Contact Database, which contains more than one million outlets, reporters, influencers, editors, bloggers, producers and more. Leveraging cutting-edge AI and automation, Padhye led the way in creating a database that is constantly being updated automatically to ensure customers have the most accurate information possible. In recent months, Padhye was also one of the principles responsible for adding thousands of YouTube channels to Critical Mention’s media monitoring capabilities.
“Having spent the past seven years at Critical Mention seeing the company grow, it is incredibly rewarding to be assuming this new role at a time when we are positioned better than ever to deliver customers a superior experience through our Earned Media Suite,” Padhye said. “As exciting as this is for me personally, I am even more excited to be leading an incredible team of technology professionals into a new era at Critical Mention.”
Naming a Chief Technology Officer comes at a pivotal time for Critical Mention, as the company plans to follow the release of the Media Contact Database with several other exciting feature releases during the second half of 2020 and early 2021. The product roadmap includes major additions to the platform’s analytics capabilities, additional content sets and expansion of international coverage.
“Vishal has been integral in every aspect of improving our platform and back-end technology infrastructure since he joined the Critical Mention team. He is also a leader and mentor, so naming him CTO at this crucial moment in our growth as an organization was a natural fit,” said Don Yount, CEO and President of Critical Mention. “Personally, I am thrilled to see Vishal assume this new role. It is also another important milestone in our growth as a company and the evolution of our Earned Media Suite.”
