CROS NT Group Forms Statistical Scientific Board

Comprised of prominent biostatistics experts, the Board is a think tank for statistical methodology in clinical research.

CROS NT Group has created a Statistical Scientific Board as part of its consultancy service to ensure quality results in biostatistics within clinical research. The Board is comprised of internal CROS NT biostatisticians and external statistical consultants with highly regarded reputations in the field. The mission of the Board is to support both CROS operations driving statistical consultancy services as well as CROS Academy in the qualification of trainers and defining the learning path for the program.

All members of the Board are statisticians by background, either through industry or academia, and have decades of experience dealing with clinical trials. Riccardo Spezia Senior Statistician at CROS NT, will serve as Chairman of the Board. Other internal members include Paolo Morelli, President and CEO, Thomas Zwingers, Chief Operating Officer, and Frank Freischläger, Vice President and Head of Training and Development Unit.

The external Board members add a wealth of international expertise and are well-established methodologists. Professor Angela Montanari, Head of Faculty in the Statistics department at the University of Bologna, represents Italy on the Board. Joining from the United Kingdom is Professor Stephen Senn from the Department of Statistics in Glasgow. The Board is still in the process of recruiting a German colleague.

The Statistical Scientific Board members serve as trainers for CROS Academy, which is a series of courses and webinars aimed at statistics education. As peers, members of the Board review essential documents, serve as Data Safety Board (DSMB) members and counsel clients and partners on a premium level.
